Summer Trend: Tropical Print

Being hella bad & boujee with my friends.

It has been a hot minutooo. I’ve been doing laps around life like a chicken with its head cut off. I started a new job (yay!) and also moved into a new apartment (with my boyfriend…yay!). Lots of adulting things — so much that I pretty much forgot how to log into Ohh Angie.

I want to take a quick second to fully admit that I have been BORED AF with my blog. I had a little chit chat with myself the other day about why. My blog is beautiful and kick ass. It has all of the features I have ever wanted and I worked really hard on it. Why was I unsatisfied? I think I started to try hard to be like other bloggers and become obsessed with numbers. How many followers did I gain? Did I get a lot of comments or likes on a post? Why wasn’t I invited to that blogger event? The negativity was endless.

Personally, I think comparing is creative suicide. I want to wake up every morning loving myself as much as my dog or boyfriend loves me. Life is hard as it is; I want to be judged by how I write, produce content, and make people laugh vs. the stupid popularity contest. It’s time to stop giving a shit about what people think and start doing what I give a damn about.

Being hella bad & boujee with my friends.

Just kidding…well…not really.

Trend for Summer: Tropical Print

California summers are pretty ‘lax. That’s tough for me because I either like to dress up Level 10 hot fiyah or bum it out ’til I’m undateable. When the summer trend was noticeably tropical palm leaves, I was intrigued but hesitant. I don’t play with prints all that much — I simply don’t look great in them. However, going against my hesitations because c’mon, Angie, live life a little fuckin’ more.
